*This includes a BDS $50.00 non-refundable deposit payable at your Introductory assessment and consultation.  The balance can be paid in two parts with BDS $132.50 be payable no later than May 8th, 2017 and BDS $132.50 payable no later than May 29th, 2017. Credit and Debit card payments are accepted.



3-Group Classes Weekly


The programme cost includes three group training session weekly.  These sessions will take the form of group classes incorporating a mixture of cardio and resistance training and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 pm and on Saturdays at 7:30 am.  The Tuesday and Thursday sessions will be held at the Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium.  While, Saturday sessions will alternate between J & S Fitness, located in Holder's Hill, St. James, and the beach (the beach location will be decided based on a location convenient for most members of the group).



Personalised Weekly Workout Plan


Based on your individual profile (e.g. age, exercise history, fitness level, schedule, medical history, fitness goals, equipment available, etc.), we will provide you with a personalised weekly workout programme. The programme will be accompanied by links to an extensive online exercise library to ensure you are performing the exercises correctly. You will also have contact with a trainer in the event that you have any questions.




Semi-Personalised Meal Plan


Each participant will be provided with a meal plan providing healthy food options to support your weight loss journey.   The plan will be semi-personalised in that it will be tailored to meet your dietary needs, weight loss goal and it will also consider your food preferences.




Body Assessment and Nutritional Consultation 


Introductory Consultation and Assessment*

Your program experience will commence with an individual 30-minute assessment and nutritional consultation.  The Body Assessment will involve assessing some key variables:

  • Weight

  • Height

  • Body mass index (BMI)

  • Body fat percentage

  • Key body measurements (hips, waist, chest, etc.)

The nutritional consultation will assess your current dietary habits, along with your dietary needs, as we prepare to develop your meal plan. Your trainer will also guide you through what you can expect from the programme.


*Initial assessments will be conducted prior to the start of the 6-Week programme and will be done on an appointment basis.  After you register for the programme, we will contact you to set up your Introductory Consultation and Assessment.



 Midway and Completion Consultation and Assessment

Upon completing the third week of the programme, you can benefit from an updated body assessment and, as well as, a general health and wellness consultation as we check-in to see how the programme is going for you. We will be there for you every step of the way and, though you can contact your trainer at any time, we see the value of setting aside time just to check-in with you.  


A further assessment will be conducted at the end of the 6-week programme.




Health and Wellness Seminar

To ensure that you not only get results but that those results are sustainable, it is important that you understand the science behind what you are doing and why it works.  Thus, this programme includes a Health and Wellness Seminar.


More than 50% of your weight loss success will depend on your diet.  Thus, the seminar will be primarily aimed at emphasizing the role that diet will play in your weight loss journey.  In this regard, the areas to be covered will include:

  • How our eating practices affect weight gain and weight loss

  • What are calories?

  • Determining your daily caloric and nutritional needs? 

  • Reading and understanding labels

  • Guidelines for developing a meal plan





All assessments, consultations, and seminars will be conducted at J & S Fitness located in Holder's Hill, St. James, Barbados.
